Donor Programme
Our Donor Egg Programme
- The Donor Programme at PFRC has been in operation since 2002. The donor oocyte (egg) program is a blessing for women who are unable to produce healthy oocytes, have chromosomal problems, or have multiple failed IVF cycles.
- Our donor egg selection criteria adhere to tight requirements established by the Human Fertilization and Embryology Act, as well as guidelines established by the American Society of Reproductive Medicine and the Indian Council of Medical Research. With approximately 350 donors, we have a sizable donor base.
- Our donor egg program is one of the largest in India, offering high-quality services at a low cost, and it has benefited several couples worldwide.
You and Egg Donation
Our egg donation service allows prospective parents to select the egg of a donor who shares their physical and mental characteristics. These eggs are then fertilized with the partner’s or a donor’s sperm and placed into the uterus of either a surrogate or the intended mother.
Selection Criteria for Our Donor Egg Programme
- less than 27 years old.
- You must have had children previously.
- All medical testing for general health should be performed.
- Hormone levels that are normal On ultrasound, the uterus and ovaries are normal.
- Infectious illnesses such as Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, HIV, and syphilis are not present.
- There is no family history of genetic or medical issues.
- Karyotyping should be accessible on request.
- Donors may not donate more than six times. Donors are counseled on the procedure and the need to make daily visits to the clinic. They are psychologically evaluated, and we verify that they follow unit protocols in order for the program to run smoothly.
The Process
A database of physical traits, medical screening, and all assessments completed on the donor is kept, and the donor is matched to the recipient’s needs. To avoid legal complications, the donor, her spouse, and the recipient couples are asked to sign consent paperwork.
Donor Database
Age, height, weight, skin color, eye color, hair color, texture, education, and religion are all recorded, and donors are classified based on these factors. This aids in the maintenance of a perfect database, ensuring that the recipient-donor match is perfect and meets the needs of the recipients.
Who are eligible for the Donor Egg Programme?
At PFRC, we allow donor egg programmes for women with the following issues.
- Women with early ovarian failure
- Women whose ovaries are surgically removed
- Women who are perimenopausal
- Women having a history of poor follicle recruitment during IVF
- Women who have severe endometriosis
- Women with significant pelvic adhesions and accessible ovaries that make egg harvesting difficult may also be eligible for this treatment
- Women with an unknown cause of recurrent IVF failures
Till date, our Donor Egg Programme has delivered around 5000+ babies and is one of our most successful methods. The donor oocyte program has a success rate of 75-80%. The babies born through this method are as normal as other children born through IVF programs using the mother’s own oocytes.
Aside from typical donors, there are also exclusive donors who are tall, fair, and gorgeous, graduates and postgraduates. At all levels, confidentiality is respected.
Donor Egg Cycle: Step-by-step
- There is no ovarian stimulation throughout this cycle
- The eggs are extracted from a donor who has undergone ovarian stimulation following downregulation, as detailed in the lengthy protocol
- You will be instructed to begin taking T. Ovral G / Duoluton on a specified day and end on a specific date
- Injection suprefact is started before Ovral G is stopped to lower your body's hormone levels. You must come every day for the injections
- On the third day of your menstruation, you must get an ultrasound to determine your endometrial thickness. Tab whether it has been adequately subdued
- Progynova is administered beginning at D3 to encourage endometrial development
- On regular scans, the endometrial thickness is measured, and when the lining is about 1 cm thick, and eggs have been obtained from the donor, your husband is asked to provide a sperm sample (on the day of egg collection from the donor)
- Fertilization has been completed
- You will be instructed to discontinue suprefact injection and start injecting Gestone 100 mg daily the next day
- You should contact the unit the next day to find out when the embryo transfer will take place
If their consultant is willing to coordinate the program, international patients can get the down-regulation in their home country. They may appear on Day 2 of menstruation. This will cut their time in India by ten days.
